Pre-construction review
We go through the drawings, specification and site before pricing, and flag anything missing or unclear before it holds up ordering or work on site.
If you already have an architect and a developed design, JBP can build it. We manage the site, trades, programme and handover across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and North London.
You have an architect and a design you’re happy with. Now you need a builder who will follow it, ask the right questions early and run a well-organised site.
Your architect stays in charge of the design and we build to their drawings and specification. Before we start, we agree in writing what is and isn’t included, so there are no surprises later.
We go through the drawings, specification and site before pricing, and flag anything missing or unclear before it holds up ordering or work on site.
We plan the order of work, manage the trades and make sure the structure, services and finishes fit together.
You and your architect get regular updates on progress, what’s coming up and any decisions we need from you.
We arrange inspections, finish any outstanding work and hand over the documents you need. Any defects are logged and put right.
What we do on your project is set out in the building contract. To start, send us the drawings, the specification and your target start date.

We check for missing details, access issues and anything unclear in the scope.

We build it, keep you updated and finish every item on the list.

No. We can help work out what’s missing. To give you a firm price, though, we’ll need a clear scope and specification.
Yes, that’s how this route works. We agree with your architect how instructions, queries and design changes will be handled.
With traditional construction you appoint the architect and the builder separately. With design and build, one company is responsible for both the design and the build. Your contract sets out exactly who does what.
