We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience, serve personalised content, and analyze our traffic. By clicking Accept, you consent to our use of cookies.
JBP Developments Ltd (“JBP Developments”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you use our website, make an enquiry or work with us.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
JBP Developments Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
Contact: info [at] jbpdevelopments.com
Address: Unit 7, Beaumont Hall Lane, Beaumont Hall, Redbourn Road, St Albans, AL3 6RN
Telephone: 07782 338715
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number and company or organisation;
- the details you provide about a proposed or current project, including its location, scope, budget, programme and any files or photographs you choose to send;
- our communications with you and records of calls, meetings, quotations and follow-up activity;
- your marketing preference and a record of when and how that preference was given or withdrawn; and
- technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, page activity, form timestamps and security or spam-prevention data.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and discuss, assess or price a potential project;
- take steps you request before entering into a contract and deliver any agreed services;
- manage contacts, quotations, projects, customer service and business records;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and enquiry process;
- meet legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting and professional obligations; and
- send occasional project or company updates by email where you have specifically opted in.
4. Our lawful bases
We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to take requested pre-contract steps or perform a contract with you.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to genuine business enquiries, manage our relationships and projects, keep appropriate records, protect the website and improve our services. We consider and balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.
- Consent: for optional email marketing or where we specifically ask for consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Website enquiries and Siite CRM
When you submit our project enquiry form, the submission is stored securely in WordPress, delivered to our business email and sent to the Website Enquiries area of Siite, our project and customer relationship management system. This helps our sales team record ownership, contact attempts, progress and outcomes. Website enquiries are initially assigned to our sales lead and are not converted into sales opportunities automatically.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only where reasonably necessary with:
- authorised JBP Developments staff and contractors who need it for their work;
- website hosting, WordPress/Elementor, email delivery, security, analytics and IT support providers;
- Siite, which provides our project and customer relationship management system;
- architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers involved in assessing or delivering a project, where appropriate;
- professional advisers, insurers and auditors; and
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Cookies, analytics and security
Our website may use essential cookies and similar technologies needed for security and operation. Where non-essential analytics or other cookies are used, they should be controlled through the website’s consent choices. The enquiry form also uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse; Google may process technical information in accordance with its own privacy terms.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data protection law, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected:
- enquiries that do not progress are normally retained for up to 24 months;
- marketing preference records are retained while the preference remains current and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can respect opt-outs;
- successful enquiries become customer or project records and are retained for the periods needed for contracts, warranties, insurance, tax and potential legal claims, normally at least seven years after the relevant relationship or project ends; and
- security and technical logs are kept for shorter periods unless they are needed to investigate an incident.
We may retain information for longer where the law, a dispute, an insurance requirement or the nature of a construction contract makes that necessary.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete information;
- restrict or object to particular processing;
- provide certain information in a portable format; or
- stop direct marketing or withdraw consent.
To exercise a right, email info [at] jbpdevelopments.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Complaints
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
