Experienced project managers, backed by our Siite platform, which keeps design, programme, site activity and costs in one place throughout the build.

What project management means

What construction project management covers

Good project management links information, responsibility, actions and evidence. The client and consultant team can see what has happened, what is coming up and what needs a decision.

01

Defined responsibility

Every action has an owner, and every decision is followed through.

02

Current information

The programme, site reports, drawings and costs are always up to date.

03

Evidence-led reporting

Photos and records let you check progress and quality for yourself.

Project management at each stage

Our role changes as the project moves from the brief through to handover and aftercare.

Pre-construction

Brief, feasibility, buildability, consultant coordination, budget and procurement planning.

Mobilisation

Responsibilities, programme, information releases, logistics, HSEQ and project setup.

Construction

Site reporting, actions, quality, RFIs, decisions, change and commercial control.

Handover

Commissioning, close-out evidence, defects, maintenance information and aftercare.

For clients

Know where progress and cost stand

Simple reports show what’s finished, what’s changing and what needs your decision.

For architects

From design query to site action

Every query, instruction and decision is recorded, so you can always see why something was done.

Completed Beaumont Mews barn conversion and interiors in St Albans
Beaumont Mews: a listed barn conversion into seven holiday apartments in St Albans.
Coordination in practice

Managing the interfaces on a complex conversion

Beaumont Mews combined historic features, structural repairs and difficult ground. Each structural decision changed the order of work, what the trades needed to know and when materials had to be ordered.

That’s why we link the programme to responsibilities, information and open decisions, so it stays a working tool throughout the build.

Before appointing a project manager

Questions to ask before appointing a project manager

We agree our role and how we report before work begins. We’re based in St Albans and work across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and North London.

What does a construction project manager coordinate?

The programme, the consultants and contractors, decisions, risks and handover. We agree exactly what’s included before we start.

Do we need a project manager if we already have an architect?

Often, yes. Architects design the building; project managers run the project. We look at what your architect already covers and fill the gaps, so nothing is done twice or missed.

Can JBP help with a project already on site?

Yes. Send us the programme, the drawings and the problems you’re facing, and we’ll tell you how we can help.

How will we know what needs a decision?

Through regular reports that show what’s done, what’s next, what’s still open and which decisions could affect cost or time.

Need help managing a live project?
