What a turnkey construction service means

What a coordinated design-and-build service involves, from the first brief to the final handover.

Practical guidance for your next project

A new build, extension or major renovation involves designers, planning permission, contractors, materials and deadlines. Managing all of that yourself takes time, and things can fall through the gaps. A turnkey construction service hands the whole process to one company.

At JBP Developments we handle every stage, from the first idea to handing over the keys, and we keep you updated throughout.

What does turnkey mean?

Turnkey means one company manages the whole project, from the first survey to the final inspection. You have one team responsible and one point of contact.

Instead of managing separate contractors, architects and trades yourself, you deal with JBP and we coordinate everyone else.

Step 1: surveys and reports

Every project starts with understanding the site. We arrange the surveys and reports needed to find existing problems early.

That can include structural surveys, locating gas and water services, and preparing insurance reports.

Step 2: pre-planning and design

Next comes pre-planning and design, where the project takes shape.

We’ll help you with:

  • Obtaining the necessary planning permissions and permits,

  • Selecting the right materials and finishes,

  • Coordinating with local authorities and specialists,

  • Making sure the design fits your goals, timeline and budget.

We keep you involved in every decision at this stage.

Step 3: technical design

The technical design turns the approved scheme into information the builders can work from. It covers:

  • Structural and mechanical systems,

  • Engineering specifications, and

  • Comprehensive construction drawings.

Getting this right before construction starts avoids expensive changes on site.

Step 4: the build

Our team manages the construction, from excavation and foundations to electrics, plumbing and finishes.

We order the materials and schedule the trades, and we report progress regularly so you always know where things stand.

Step 5: aftercare and maintenance

Once the project is finished, we also offer aftercare and maintenance.

Regular maintenance prevents costly repairs and protects the value of the property. We can help with routine maintenance and future improvements.

Why clients choose a turnkey service from JBP

Clients choose JBP for experienced construction managers and a personal service. You’ll know who is responsible for your project and how it is progressing.
